Anyone seen the article in the daily mail tuesday about fisherman emptying ther lobster pots and find ing ,several sea horses off selsey area, ..they are now in portsmouth sea life centre,,,,,,they are usually found in the meditrainian

Hi Ho,,,,,, To all, i also thought they were from the med myself?
Don't quote me, but I think there are a number of species and they are predominantly found in warmer areas, but we do seem to have a some smallish resident populations around the coast.

Apparently we have several resident species but some more exotic ones are turning up in our waters more recently.
I found that out at the National Sealife Centre in Birmingham last month while on a long wait for a customer.

There were 27 of selsey bill ,copper coloured,marine experts say this particular type are rare,,,,all to do with the seas warming up apparantly
