Hi All,

I was hoping to fish seaford in the next couple of weeks, but I have never been there before, can you tell me if I can get bait in Seaford, or do you guys have any contact details of shops there?

Any info you may have I would really appericate it,

Many Thanks

Seaford shop is rubbish and its rarely open. Would only get frozen bait from there go see glen in newhaven for better bait and at least he will be happy to give you some advice if you need it.

Seaford shop makes me laugh, I used to go in there alot, sometimes several days on the trot, especially through the summer months. Struggle to get the time of day out of him and he wont talk to you outside of the shop either. A bit of friendliness would go a long way in a small town like seaford, could of secured himself some regulars for the winter months, especially since he started up a new shop up!!

this shop is a joke!
bait is awful absolutely in everyway awful, manners are shot to ****e and thats if you dont take the top of your head off getting in the bloody door!he wont be there long and that cheers me up!:victory::victory:
the shame of it is that seaford needs a good tackle shop and anyone other than him would do quite well,i have lost count of the anglers lined up on seaford some days in the summer that ask me for feathers cos they have lost theirs or leads etc,it may not be much but dave at bton marina pays his mortgage through the summer months on these type of bread and butter anglers!

ive never had a problem with seaford tackle for bait, probally the worm diggers......shame on you,dig better worms,it cant be that hard
not a chance,HE sells it,its his reputation on the line and consequently lots of people wont go back through his door,if i get a crap meal at a resteraunt i dont blame the guy who sold him the ingredients i blame the resteraunt!
for a start he charged a mate of mine about 3 50 for a packet of ragworms which had ten rag in it and 3 of those were dead,he showed me on the beach and im still laughing at the memory of it:laugh::laugh:
why open a tackle shop in a shop too small to hold any tackle with no obvious bait storage facilites(apart from a limited freezer)and no decent advice to offer a novice,he has more carp fishing gear in there than sea,and hes at the seaside?????????????????????

thanks for all of the replies, think I will give this shop a miss and try newhaven - any ideas what this shop is like?

thanks
The shop at Newhaven is good, he has a good selection of frozen baits and the fresh worms are good. Glyn is very helpful and has been in the area for long time so knows whats what in the area and is always willing to help. If you are after fresh bait its best to order bait before you go there

johns bait at peacehaven isnt the best as he dont have a big enough turn over,he also sells it by weight which means if the rag are big then you dont get many.
but if you need bait then you will have to use him,he also opens till 6.30 on saturdays.
i dont know why his rag are sometimes naff as both newhaven and peacehaven use the same bait man
