I'm taking JG on his first trip this Friday following his great success in overcoming the big C problem. Four months without wetting a line, he is keen to get out, albeit only with one rod.

We have decided on Seaford, as our local beaches at Shoreham are weeded out at the mo.

Can someone let me know if Seaford is weed free, if it's not then Pevensey is our second option.

With thanks in anticipation.

Seaford beach is not to bad today big improvement, weed appears about 1 hour before high tide.Today was the best i have seen it in a few weeks.I would say very fish-able today, think the wind is due to turn soon those S/W winds are hopefully going to leave us.That will help keep the weed out to sea.
