Hi, I'm thinking about having a day or night fishing down in selsey, just wondering if there's much being caught and if so what? Any tips on rigs and can where I can buy bait from? As you can properly gather I'm not from the area lol. I would be great full of any advise. Many thanks

I fished East Beach last saturday from 13.30hrs to 21.30hrs (Last 2 hours of the flood and the ebb right out) and didn,t have a single bite. Weed wasn't a problem but the crabs were, they were stripping rag off in 5 mins and a whole calamari in about 20 mins, finally ran out of bait after continuous rebaiting and had to head home.

Raycraft in the High street has a good selection of bait I reckon. Live Rag, frozen hermits, peeler, black lug, makkie and squid. Smallish selection of tackle essentials (leads, hooks, swivels etc),as it's not a full blown tackle shop, but it's always had everything I need, and the location is handy if you are fishing down this way.
