Think i'll start my six weeks off by going down Ogmore Estuary next week! I'll take my normal rod reel with rag,squid,sandeel and a few peelers and also i'll give the bass a go on the fly at the river mouth i'll take my waders has anybody tried this i'm trying it next week anyway!

[Windjammer]

Hi Some years ago I watched this guy casting a fly at the Rivermouth with what appeared to me to be fresh water gear.

However, he clearly knew his stuff as he covered the ground in many casts forming an arc. I had never seen this before and was somewhat sceptical of his success. Suddenly he hooked up and played and landed a super Bass of I would say around 5lb. He asked me to take a photo of him with the fish which he promptly returned. Good guy.

I remember his line was orange and quite thick with a thinner leader. No idea of the fly ...sorry.
