Hi everyone,
Some advice please. When spinning for bass using 10lb main line and lures between 25 and 90g should I use a shock leader? Many thanks.

no mate, you shouldn't need one for that kind of fishing but they are important when blasting out lead weights

I still stick to the 10lb of line for every ounce of weight, so if you are casting 90gms (3oz) you should have a 30lb leader. 3oz of lead/steel can do alot of damage if it cracks off and hits someone. That said its probably best to go for your average, I use 10lb braid and a 15lb mono leader as I mainly cast 1 - 1 1/2 oz but still use 2oz now and then.

Many thanks for the advice. I'm new to spinning but I like Ekyone's method of 10 lb braid and 15 lb mono leader.
Cheers for now.
