Hi buddy, not sure if this helps but I've got the 10000 version and my spare spool is the 5500 version. Fits fine, the only difference is that it's a shallow spool compared to the 10000 which suits me fine as I use it for braid.

Your welcome to try one Ben.

I have a 10,000 and a 14,000 from a XSC Ultegra.

Would swap them for 6000 spools as long as they are in excellent/perfect condition.

Hi Simon,
Sadly I have the 14000, but spools are quite large. 500 yards of 50lb us braid, which seems a little excessive.
I heard the 10000 spools fitted fine, but just checking.
Are yours interchangeable?

I got the 10000/14000 XSC from Whitby Specifically for field casting. It was the only model they had in at the time. Even the 10000 holds way to much line for that job.
I ordered a 6000 spool soon after. All fit fine.

Isn't the c14 an older model thou? I would try one first.

Lips if you go on shimano uk you can see the parts lists check out the 10,000 on both reels.

You need the number for the spool assembly if they are the same your safe.
The reel boddies are the same size just the depth of spool is different.

The xsc spool for the 14,000 is a 15188 it don't match any of the C14 spools so I would say no.

Lipslicker.

Sorry just read your OP again the c14 10 and 14 for that reel will interchange.

I thought you was asking if an XSC spool will fit a C14.

The only difference is spool depth not hight or width.
The new xsc's come with a spool for the size of reel ie the 14,000 comes with a 14 and a spare 10,000.
My 10,000 came with a spare 6000.

If you are not sure call 01792 796584 Shimano felindre (spares division) you can order a new one over the phone.
All you need is you reel model number.

Hope this helps

C14 is the reel body they do many version in C14 it's more the last letter being A/B/C the middle letter is either T or S T being Baitrunner cap S being quick drag.
Shimano have an Habit of altering spacings of how spool sits on reel between those digits! plus some have different types of skirts/anti line raps around base.
Have GTE 6000/8000 Baitrunners which came with carbon type spools then to make matters more interesting still with GTE's they brought out spools for newer version in "B" versions which are made in alloy yet don't fit mine as guess A version sits out/back more?(Can't remember) but they do now as sat down and worked it out got some more spool shims from Felindre and after some trial and error works spot on! so now have alloy spools for both reels.

From what led to believe/researched/looked at was the cut off point/line is 5500 and below and 10'000 and above are the two types of reel so 55 and 45 are same body just that 45 is shallower spools
the 10'000 body comes with a 6000(there don't seem to be a 6000 reel though?)then theres 12'000/14'000 which are same reel body as the 10'000 but the 12's pretty sure won't fit the 10's now as much older reel but have to check centers/skirts as much is marketing hype/BS too as want you to buy newer gear!

But ive Aerlex's and spools won't fit Bio master/Beastmaster/Navi etc etc as spool is sort of hollow inside where as the others have drags washers inside them.

Ho the joy's of Shimano!!!
