I am planning on trying a spot of sea fishing at Sidmouth tomorrow. I am going to get down a couple of hours before high tide which is it 5pm and stay a couple after.

Basically, I was wondering whether anyone has any advice? I tried many times back last year but I never succeeded. I am planning on using a 2 oz weight and a white mackerel feathers trace. I am able to visit a tackle shop in the morning if you think anything else is required.

Any advice welcome.

dont know sidmouth too well so cant advise on that but what i will say is dont rely on that site for your tide times. the .au means australia so your looking at the tide times for sidmouth in tazmania australia!
