After a bit of planning over the last few months, we finally got to the date of the SIZEWELL SOLE MATCH, weather perfect for soles, it was like a evening on the costa del sol, everything looked good, 50 anglers fished and I have to say it was disappointing with fish very hard to find, the amount of tight weed which was being reeled in on the line, made it difficult to fish at distance, a few sole were caught, but all were small, g crags on peg 46 was so unlucky two undersized soles.

Results
1st. Mark Sharman 2lb 10
2nd Peter fairclough. 2lb 3
3rd. Rob o'brian. 2lb 2
4th. Norman Bickers. 1lb 10

Sec 1. Mark Sharman
Rob o'brian

Sec 2. Keith Morley
Stelios and c spall

Sec 3 . Peter fairclough
Norman bickers

BIG ROUND. Peter fairclough

BIG SOLE. Norman bickers
D Allen

BIG BAG SOLES. Norman bickers
D Allen

well done to all who got in the money, Norman bickers was financially the biggest winner on the night, well done mate, I have to also mention Peter fairclough (digger) of EA, Peter fishes matches rarely these days and caught a cracking eel of 2lb 3oz, which was enough for second overall, section win and biggest round, the last sole match he attended which was at southwold he caught a massive lobster, which pleased the one who needs to be obeyed, is prize money getting better results at home than the lobster did mate? That was 4 years ago so I expect to see you at the sole match in 2017 lol

Many thanks to all the people who helped make it a great event as usual, COOKIE, STEBBY for pegging the sections on such a warm afternoon, STELIOS AND Chris for sorting the paperwork, and Ash for letting us use his scales.

Better start checking tides for next years match, think I will play safe and perhaps move a month later, as this years cold spring has put fishing back a bit in my opinion,

THANKS AGAIN ALL.

REGARDS

stephen

Was a lovely evening to be on the beach, pity about the fish not wanting to play! Closest I got to a sizeable fish was signing Mark Sharmans hounds in, never mind. Well organised match, thanks to everyone involved, hopefully see you again next year:thumbs:.

Thanks mate, it was a great evening weather wise, Mark is a brilliant angler one of the best around our coasts and fished well!

I will post my matches on WSF and hope to see you again, I normally do 3 big ones a year, Christmas at pakefied, spring at dunwich and Sole open at Sizewell.

Thank you for attending mate,

Regards

Stephen
