hi there,

I am going to skye this weekend. Armadale to be more specific. going to do some hillwalking with people that are not interested in fishing but I might take my travel rod with some lures. any good spots to give a try with lures there?

Armadale pier is good if the mackerel are about, maybe too early I dont know! Also the point at tarskavaig can produce some not bad pollack on its day. Where abouts in armadale are you staying? If you enjoy your food see if the Sea-Fari from the pier can take you over to inverie to a pub called the old forge. Enjoyable tip on the boat and a great wee pub with great food. Apparently its the remostest pub in the UK. http://www.theoldforge.co.uk/

Let me know how you get on as I think I will head up around mid June.

Yeah take your rod, id imagine you mite tempt a macky from inverie pier. never tried it mind. and the midges at inverie are amongst the worst i have ever experienced, but i hope you'l be ok!!
