hi lads, just wondering has anyone any good ideas for sliders while surf fishing (what they should look like), iam hopeing to target dogs at distance and hopefully flounders in close.

Hi stevie, What I do is tie an american snap or something simalar to a 2ft a length of 15 lbs line, slide on a 1oz drilled bullet and a bead tie on a small swivel and tie another 2 ft of 15 lbs line to this ,then tie on your hook ,When you cast your rig out clip on the snap link and send down your slider ,I find this works quite well for Flounders as you are fishing your baits at different distances,hope this helps .

thanks bald dodge thats similar to what i had in mind, iam fishing a comp tonight so hopefully ill get a few flats

Normally i'm only using a snap running with about a foot and a half of 10lb fluro straight to the hook, but this is fishing fairly flat featureless surf beaches for flounder. Found it quite deadly at times for any flounder just behind the first true wave
