Our second match in our Winter Series Midweek league sponsored by Rovers Sea Tackle takes place next Wednesday 1st February at Gilkicker.. signing on at the Lifeboat Lane car park from 6.45pm - 7.15pm with fishing from 8pm - 11.30pm.

All of these matches can be fished as opens and are cash only with full payouts on the night plus a raffle. Ragworm and Mackerel bait only.

Can we also mention a special thanks to Peter Lee who has kindly donated £60 for the heaviest fish caught during this Winter Series.. nice one Peter!👍

Just one more day to go before the second match in our Winter Series Midweek league sponsored by Rovers Tackle in Fareham. Our venue for the evening will be Gilkicker with signing on at the Lifeboat Lane car park from 6.45pm - 7.15pm with fishing from 8pm - 11.30pm.

All of these matches can be fished as opens and are cash only with full payouts on the night plus a raffle which is tonight includes two prizes from Cox & Rawle. Ragworm and Mackerel are the only baits that can be used during the match.

FYI :- second match of the Winter Midweek League sponsored by Rovers Tackle in Fareham took place yesterday evening at Gilkicker. 26 anglers turned out for what seemed favourable conditions but was ultimately a tough nights fishing with a total of 122 recorded fish that included dogs, whiting, pouting, poor cod and dabs. Fished over 2 zones, the winners on the night were Darren Cramer with 4lb 13oz and Chris Woollven with 4lb 1/2oz. Heaviest round fish was a dogfish of 1lb 12oz for Paul Stevens and heaviest flatfish was a Dab of 8oz caught by Chris Woollven.

Zone A:

1st Chris Woollven 4lb 1/2oz
2nd Andy Pemberton 3lb 5oz
3rd Malcolm Stote 2lb 15 1/2oz

Zone B:

1st Darren Cramer 4lb 13oz
2nd Paul Stevens 3lb 9oz
3rd Peter McGrady 2lb 4oz

With our first two matches now complete, Darren Cramer and Paul Stevens currently lead the way in the league table.. full results should be up on the Southern League & Opens website within the next few days!

Our next midweek match will be fished on Wednesday 22nd March at Hayling from 8pm - 11.30pm.

For anyone who wasn’t able to fish last night but is interested in joining us for this next match, please get in contact.. all matches can be fished as opens with cash payouts on the night.
