I have a couple of old slosh 30s that I have been trying to make run better - have been very slow. I have spent ages swapping out bearings polishing spindles and pinion gears etc. and eventually found that both seem to have the same problem. When I have removed the spool tension cap on the right hand side I can see that the end of the spindle isn't central so that as the spindle spins it is pushing against the plastic bush in there, I have removed this bush and they run well now. The spindles on both spools are pretty straight so its like the frame has somehow twisted. I just wondered has anyone else found this and do you reckon it will cause problems removing the bush? thanks Stuart
