I will be heading down to Manaccan for a week at the end of the month for a weeks fishing. I want to take my 14ft boat out to the Manacles but my mate reckons its too dangerous. Does anyone have good boating knowledge of the Manacles you could share with me? Does anyone know of a recent publication that charts the Manacles? Even more cheeky does anyone know the lat/long of The Rock Island Bridge wreck in the mouth of the Helford? I know i'm asking a lot but if you don't ask you never find out. Please guys pm anything that will help.

if conditions are calm, the manacles are OK to fish from a small boat, you can launch from porthoustock I expect and it is only a very short run in should the weather change.

The reefs are the main danger, sorry I can't help with the charts bit

Freelined live mackerel is a killer for bass and pollack and it is worth making the effort to fish at early morning or late evening
