[Ascendance]

So we've all had that sinking feeling when we try to reel in our lines and we are snagged and no matter how hard we try, we end up losing the gear.. it was only today when i was fishing at Chesil i realised the real damage it can cause, when i brought in a snagged line with five spider crabs entangled. i was just wondering if anyone else had reeled in anything like this before and how common it really is?

All these little fellas where freed and released back

I was fishing with @Tatunkajoe when he he reeled in a spider and it was tangled up with mackerel feathers.

I suppose those Spider crabs crawl along the seabed getting tangled up in all that lost line. I hope you dealt with them in the correct way.

Untangled the fellas and released them all safely and brought the line home, try to bring back more than I take.

Few years back fishing with me brother in law he hooked into a fish that fought like a beast when landed it turned out to be a big mullet must 5 mabye 6 pounds In weight but at had a string of feathers stuck in its mouth and bros rig had tangled with them he wanted to eat but told it was protected and had to go back minus the feathers to much of a specimen to knock it on its head lol
