I put my rods in the car yesterday afternoon ready to go out in the night.
When I got to the beach around midnight and tackled up I found that the tip eyes on both rods were out of line. Yet they were still solid and I couldn't move them. The only explanation I can come up with is that they were in the direct sunlight in the car and the glue had softened and they had turned slightly.

I was still able to fish and sorted them back at home.
By dipping them in hot water I was able to re aline them...

could you cast round corners?

yeah must have been the heat softening the glue - if you could straighten them with hot water it must have been!

If you think that's bad spare a thought for parts of Canada at 49 degrees.
Plastic bumpers on cars were melting onto the road.
