Just got back from 3 weeks away working in Porthleven...... bang in the centre of year round bass country!?!?:cool::D:confused:

Was the lure gear with me? .. Yes...:)
Did it see the light of day (or darkness of night) ... NO?!?!?:mad::mad::mad::mad:

Aaaaaagghhh!?!? .. all these catch reports are 'doing my 'ed'
(Seriously .. well done to everyone who's been out there catching!:))

Been up to my ears in rubble, dust , render , plaster and paint... electrics, plumbing, windows, kitchen units .. and the missus 'project managing' me and the lads who did the skilled stuff!?!?:rolleyes:

All done now..... and a massive wad of brownie points earned!?!?

Time for some serious fishing seshes now...;)
.......and she's even saying that!?!?:eek::eek::confused::D:D

Don't worry in the same boat as you... girlfriend "managing" my time mixed with work, east winds and these people that "fish better than me" its doing my nut in. On the 2 times i've been out i've had nothing.. I would like to say dorset is a little behind as a few of the reports are cornwall related... but i really think its just these east's. Don't worry, next week its meant to change.

The Memsahib (my other half) is from Porthleven. We get down there about three times a year. One of her Aunts rents one of the (unmodernised) coastguard cottages. She woke up in the night, a few months ago to someone walking about on the scaffolding...

I feel your pain Chris! i have 3 months ahead of me with the wench constantly nagging whilst we renovate the place!
However the old bat next door has demanded that i start at 09:30hrs and finish at 17:00hrs. not such an issue as it gives me a few house after the trout at the local lake each day :)
Must admit its been an eyeopener, today after taking down the fire hazard chimney in the lounge and the 3 levels of old floor I started on the ceiling....... who in their right mind would use chicken wire to reinforce the plaster in the ceiling???
thats right the french mong who put 3 inches of rubble on top of it!
speaking to a neighbour he said that when the house was last done in the 60's it was a brothel and that was the best they could come up with in sound proofing!! prior to that it was used by Napoleon when he invaded Italy!
roll on the next room and the next "surprise"
