Hi folks

Just wondered if any fish ID experts might perhaps please be able to identify the fish species in this pic - which I think has been coughed up by another fish.

This week while fishing from my kayak on the Scottish west coast, after unhooking a good sized Ballan Wrasse that I had just caught, I noticed this tiny fish lying on the deck of my kayak - possibly coughed up by the Ballan - although I had also been landing quite a few small Codling and Pollack - so perhaps the tiny fish had been coughed up by one of those.

The small black spot at the wrist of the tail fin seems quite prominent.

Any ideas/thoughts as to identification greatly welcomed.

Many thanks.

Andy
