hello to you all
this is my first on this site and still looking at all the interesting hints tips and questions being asked

my question is this
my girlfriend and myself were walking along stokes bay yesterday afternoon
and she asked me a question
why are there so many crab shells washed up on the shore line
i looked around and there were 1000's all shapes and sizes
but all were spider crabs none of your normal crabs
any one answer the question

many thanks in advance

I believe that the spider crabs are/or have been shedding their shells, this is why there is so many shells on the beach at the moment
