Hi everyone,

I'm just getting into fishing, and would love to go after some bass. What tips do you have for catching them in the north east. I'm in North Tyneside so anywhere in Northumberland, Tyne & Wear and possibly further south.

Stuff like:

which months to do it in
the best marks to do it at
what sort of tide
what time of day
recommendations for lures or other techniques

Even if now is not the right time of year (?) then if I know when to do it I can plan ahead :)

Cheers in advance, Simon.

now is a good time
any beach facing the sea preferably with rocks at one end
usually low tide and just coming in
early morning or last thing at night.

if the waters coloured use ragworm about 30yds out fished on the bottom. any spinner will work.

but........

if its only bass your after then prepare yourself for lots of blank sessions.
