so when does the spinning season start on our coast line? What type of fish should i target for spinning. How and where is a good place to start for a begginer like me. what type of spinners should i use!

lol your in belgium m8 hes from the northeast uk coast

macky's on the piers, end of may through june & july.
may -b earlyer this year mackys will take owt m8t even a silver hook.

Best just wait for reports as this happens every year lol all the talk of macky goes on usually 2month untill they are actualy in. I tried up the castle last weekend and had nothing not even a coalie. water is still cold however id say another month still and they may be 1 or 2 fish falling to the spiners. south shields pier will probs be best for you stu (distance wise) think you will get coalies macky and pollack often theres codling caught on lures early on aswell.

You will get coalies on spinners from the end of Shields pier at the beginning of May, as long as the sea is clear Stu.
