This Sunday sees the presentation of trophy's to the winners of this seasons casting events .
It will also be the first of a number of casting days that will run through out the summer , these will be non tournament for anyone who would like to come along for tuition or to see what its all about .

For anyone wanting to go along the lads are meeting in Wigtown centre at 9 am and will direct people to the field .

ian if u ar going throu wigtown mt dont worry about hitting the wild life there get as many as pos i will give u a tener for every 1 u hit dont worry thay wont feel it thay will still be drunk and thay will get up and walk away not like the poor we rabbit (badger and all the birds u have done in)am glad to hear u put fish back a least u give them a sporting chance.........arc bring me a bacon roll from the little chef mt now a have to travel:) :) :) just kiding ian hope am not on ur hit list for sunday :bicycle: :bicycle: :bicycle:

Hello folks , today saw the first of the summer casting days at Wigtown , it was also presentation day for the 2006/7 trophy winners .
The day began with bright sunshine and an easterly wind that was mainly down court occasionally veering across and varying 2 to 10mph during the day .
Despite a smallish turnout some good distances were recorded , with the juniors doing especially well and several new pb’s set .

Casting results ( all measurements in yards )

Iain Graham and Paul Johnstone also passed 1000yd totals over 4 different weights .

Andy Collins and Bert Moore also won prizes for being the most improved casters over the season

Pete Ingham (Purglasspete) is taking a break from casting for a year or so and will be offline for some time , if anyone requires to get in touch with him if you pm me I will pass it on .

some good chukkin over the border,-- well done you lads. what,s pete got in mind for the next year? , the mind boggles. hope to see you back into chukkin again pete, and hope to see some of you some-time at n.west casting club. bill

Well done everyone - I think I better get practising...Andy Collins is flying up the board! Well done on your pb mate :clap3:

Hopefully I'll get the right date next time and manage to get to the next event. All the best Pete, cheers for everything, look forward to seeing you back at casting sometime :)
