Being as the silver snakes seem to be out in force I think I might target them over the next couple months as you normally see a few bigger ones knocking about and ad this is my local venue I think this will be where most of my efforts are placed
So my question is "what is the biggest wonga you have had at St brides pub section?"
Mine is a rather uninspiring 10lb

Another question, does anyone know a good place local to try for a 20+?
May aswell make good of them, could be back to packs of dogs next year

Larger eels turn up in places unexpected at times, I have had them up to 15 lb over HW in Ogmore rivermouth and Simon had a nice 33lb one at LW where the river comes out last year, Cold Knap throws up a Biggie every now and then, the deeps more often, Porthcawl pier, Friars point chucking a few decent ones these last couple of days too.
Brand gets loads at Port Talbot long arm but you need a permit to fish there.

Thanks Nash,
I managed a half tidy one off the knap couple weeks ago and thinking that I'd like to have a crack at some larger ones while waiting for a nice cod or blonde to pop up
May give friars a go at some point as never tried it and always see pretty good reports about it
