I've not fished there myself, but I'm told that if you're fishing off the sand spit keep one eye on the tide as it will flood round behind you cutting you off.

I've seen lots of people fishing off the sand spit, but rarely when it is windy. I can imagine that it would be pretty nasty.

Does anyone know if the stoney beach infront of Swanbridge farm is any good (the one infront of Sully Island)? It's a really mark to fish and I have seen loads of people fishing there, and fished it myself once but caught nothing.

Cheers,

Bud

I've answered my own question. Fished there for about 2 hours last night. One and a half from the beach itself with nothing, 30 mins from the rocks and caught 2 Pouting, with a couple of other bites. :)

All in all a lovely evening to fish, I even saw a Seal lounging on his back right near the shore.

Cheers,

Bud
