We could not have wished for a better day , weather wise , absolutely fantastic . Our latest kayak fishing adventure took us to remote scenic Scotland , this time loch Etive . Yesterday was slightly different , Eric from France brought a good selection of Stealth kayak for us to try . Some people are dedicated in this growing sport travelling thousands of miles across europe and promoting the latest performing craft . I choose the Surf Fisha 470 , an absolute pleasure to ride . We paddle into the great Scottish outdoor , low cloud cover , no wind and scenery to die for . Starting with some small species slowly drifting I was soon into some Poor cod . Small fish with big puffy eyes . And then we tied on to the big buoy fishing very deep water , 200 -300 ft totally emptying our spools . Eric had a good size whiting and then the dogfish appeared , and some spurdog too . Fishing was relatively poor , we had better days ! But sitting comfortably on a new range kayak certainly made my day . We enjoyed our trip from start to finish , my species count 2016 improved slightly with another 3 new species making a grand total of Nine and we are not even in mid February . I'd like to thanks Barry for bringing along his pal , but especially Eric for letting us try the Stealth Kayak , awesome looking , light paddling machine . Time is now on trying to save any extra pennies , pursuing this fantastic journey .Tight line all

Good report there and nice weather you had. A good variety of fish and well done on the species fairly rattling them up.
