sandeel is a great bait on puts/croyde,so is lug and usualy better for the schoolies.i fished puts yesterday afternoon with a mate.not alot happening just one small nibble, but we expected that.it will fish so much better in the dark over low and up..this week is perfect as low is about 8pm tonight.tuck in close to the rocks if you are fishing in daylight.

is that dinner time morow?..if so go surfing for the day and fish at night..use a simple running ledger with as long a trace as the swell/tide will allow.about 5/6ft in small surf.might be a bit early for the rays but i wouldnt be suprised if one comes out soon.lug/eel will catch small bass..clipped down rigs work well too but IMO arent as good unless they are long.distance isnt always best here but can help.sandeel can be bought in braunton, lug can be bougth in barnstaple...pm me if you need more local info.gotta go now, crab traps need doing:) ..have a good one
