Morning all, quick question as couldn't find anything. When your keeping your catch, and gutted on the beach, I've cleaned it up when home but as silly o clock just gave the fish a wash under cold water and placed in the fridge. If I fillet it can I then wrap in foil and place the fillets in the freezer for future eating? Silly question I know but I rarely keep any fish.

any fish fillets I catch from estuary or big dirty channels.......Bristol channel for instance always get the sugar sprinkle before fridging or freezing as it sweetens the flesh when you come to use it helps to overcome the odd "fuel oil " tinge that can linger on fish that live in these environments.

eg.....Flounders....codling.....Sole....Mullet ....bass.
