the plan was to fish farm fields but when we got to gary evens Clive advised against this and told us to go to sully and managed to sell us a extra 1/2 dozen peelers (good sales man that bloke) we got to sully and could'nt get accross so decided on a plate of chips in the pub to pass the time away scampi peas and chips 2 pints of the black stuff and the first half of the england match later we leave the pub and start the walk across set up and fishing by 3pm i had what u call a night mare first cast stuck snap off:giveup: second cast birdi crack off:giveup: managed to the get the 3rd cast in the water slack liner missed it then i managed a small whiting and then another stuck another snap:giveup: i then managed to get 4 or 5 casts in and out which was result itself
then another stuck another snap off and away goes the rod and reel!mph1954 had better day than me he managed a whiting on nearly every cast fishng 2 rods but he had to keep climbing down the rocks to unhook and return them which looked very hard work weather was pants windy wet. baits used were fresh peeler. blow lug, macki and squid i did have 1 sandeel that was my ace in the pack but managed to lose that in a mid cast snap off:giveup:
