high tide was at 1721 so i dicided to have a fish (at 1600 that was) at short notice so i rang my buddy ed and we went to holme dunes and set up on the sand bar and started to fish into the gully at about 50 yards which is a inlet more than a gully in the sand but there was about 6 foot of water and the eve before a friend had had 17 bass from a bit further out.
bait was frozen razor, sand eel and crab.
rigs consisted of pennel pully and 2 hook flappers
weather was sunny and the sea state was calm and clearish
within 5 mins of casting out ed had a bass of about 5 inches and a second 5 mins later while all i was doing was emptying the sea of sea weed lol about 30 mins later he had a third bass and i tried to cast past the sand bar and the result was a snap off and birdie but i got my rig back 20 mins later as he reeled in a flounder that was just sizeable but at least it was big enough for his tea lol heres some quick shots of HIS fish i am not bitter lol
