The missus, the dog and I went out Sunday afternoon. I was hoping to fish off Langland, but the missus thought it was a bit windy and choppy so I had to settle for fishing Swansea bay for a couple of hours.
The hardest part was trying to keep the boat facing south so as to keep the missus in the sun!!
After 1/2 hour of trolling and looking for mackerel I finally found some.
2 rods, 1 with a flowing trace and 1 with a 1 up 1 down rig went out with mackerel strips. Instantly both rods rattled with doggies. Every cast was doggies until the missus said she wanted to ' touch ' the bait.
Next cast turned out to be a nice little codling of about 2 1/2 pounds.
Maybe next time Langland for Bream.
