Online shopping certainly hasn't helped the shop stores but that's the way it is, everything in life is moving that way to save costs. You only have to look at the amount of advice that gets shared on here in regards eBay, online pricing or overseas pricing. I still use my local store as much as possible even when I have to get things ordered in which they don't stock on the shelf.

I not am saying all tackle shops, but most do an on-line service, so might be a case of keeping with the times, or at least keep the stock up to date, and a good bait supply.

I am finding these days that there is very little difference between online stores and local shops in terms of pricing! I think a lot of the time it depends on the demographics of the area and whether or not the owner is a complete d!ck

The following brands are pretty much the same fixed price anywhere

Century
Pure Fishing/Newell
