Hi All
I fished taynuilt slipway for first time today.
Not quite as good as i had hoped!!
Lovely place ! and the guys i met had caught some mackies one doggie and a thornback earlier on.The latter two were some of the species
That i had been targeting on this weeks break ( with family)
I fished alongside my 14yr old daughter ! who usually catches the best one's if she is with me
We fished at low tide for five hours ! when we left the water was fairly
racing in! I have read a lot of posts about etive ! hadnt heard you needed a grip lead that could doubled for an anchor on the QE2 before
We used mackie strips on pulley rigs ! also tried spinning dexters, jelly worms ,krill mackie feathers.at same time as bait .
What did i catch ??? thats right zilch!!
Well apart from three gurnards of some sort.
Do have a pic will put it on later just so someone can identify it!
whatever they were ?? it was new species to me!
But they were very small about a pound for the three of them combined. We also tried an hour at Ardchattan priory !! but same result. We probably fished wrong spot there as there was no one else there!! the bit we fished was straight down from the church with the blue door??? I have a few days left before heading the 200 miles back home,so i hope i will get out again at least once more
And might yet get a (thornie) .doggie or spurdog, that i came here to
try to catch for the first time.
Regards
