Has anyone heard of a match in the Amlwch area tomorrow which has been organised by Telboy's tackle? Any idea of time and venue?

The competition was on Sunday between 1.30 and 6.30. It was for boat and shore but due to the high wind it turned into a shore comp only. There were various prizes i.e. biggest fish (won by a smooth hound of 2.5 KG) most species (4) and a few others. About 20 anglers fished it including myself. I fished of the Tables in pretty wild conditions but managed a couple of takeable Pollack and a decent Wrasse. Unfortunately I didn't get among the prizes. We finished of in the Dinorben with sausage/chicken and chips and a few pints. A very enjoyable afternoon.
Incidently there were no mackrel caught.
For anybody coming over in the next day or two the wind has dropped significantly and the sea round Bull Bay is looking very fishable.
I will post a notice on here with the details of the next comp when it arises.

Cheers for that Ray, very informative ;).

We actually met the guy who caught the smoothhound as he was leaving the mark and had a good chat with him so it's nice to hear that he won something .

Cheers for the tip about Bull bay too, I'm planning a session or two over the next few days so I'll bear it in mind when thinking of where to fish :).
