Thanks to all that helped out by signing the petition for the guys at Banff Harbour. The long slog is now over Banff is to get a new marina that caters for all levels of users. We fought for an area to be left undeveloped so that the guys who didnt require the facilities of a modern marina could still enjoy their fishing at a reasonable rate. Yesterday the offer was tabled for a part of the new marina to be left undeveloped for traditional moorings. The harbour users will vote on this offer on the 20th and im sure it will be accepted. As little as one month ago we were all being told that we would have to take our boats elsewhere if we wanted unserviced berthing. Everyone remember that the council have a duty to provide for everyone, they may not like that but its true. Perseverence pays.
