The commercial fisherman! on Saturday during the Kayak Event at Oxwich about an hour or so after the competition had started a couple of commercial fishermen went out to their boats & started off to "do their thing". They then had the downright cheek to complain to the organisers of the competition that by using Ch8 to monitor safety, they were using "the recognised commercial channel" (recognised by whom)???????????????
They were informed politely that Ch8 was just another "working" channel & free for anybody to use if not already in use.
The arrogance of these people, they used to use Ch86, then they switched to Ch72, then the charter boats used Ch13 just how many bloody channels do these arrogant sods want? there are about 60+ available channels & apart from Ch16 & Ch67 the rest are working channels.:rtfm:
The organisers switched to Ch10 to shut them up, I would have stayed on there to annoy them, they then had the cheek to be using Ch8 to criticise the kayakers saying that they were a menace like a swarm of flies all around the moorings, no doubt they would have preferred them to go out into the breakers beyond the Point! or maybe to have gone somewhere else not to annoy them, BLOODY ARROGANCE OF THESE PEOPLE!:hammer:

Well said Skip. I hope they complain on the 31st and then we can really wind them up:bones:. Is there not some authority or other who we can report their attitude to?
