Fantastic stuff. Looks like you really do live in fishing heaven.
Can I ask, vague ball park, where are you there?
And, do you guys have decent shore lure marks, or is it mostly bait from shore?
You know, poppers, that kind of thing.
Where would you head to get a decent chance of that?
I did hear lure fishing from the shore wasn't that great out there, but the guy I heard it from might just have been in the wrong area.
Great video. Really enjoyed that. Nice to see stuff in nicer climates, to dream about for a bucket list.
Lipslicker - the area I was fishing is Eastern Coromandel. The Coromandel peninsula would probably be the best place to cast lures from shore on rocky ledges, it's not uncommon for people to catch fish larger than the one in this video from shore. Casting lures from shore is not hugely popular but people still do it, they just seem to prefer to use a livebait and wait for fish
