It's time for me to say my thanks to all who supported us yesterday,it's a shame a few more fish did'nt want to join our party but some things are out of our control,we had the weather, the food was top shelf so a big vote of thanks to WallyWoll and Sawnee for all their efforts,Plopper was run ragged,Dangler has had the charge of indecent exposure dropped, this list itself could go on for ever, the 1919 club certainly did us proud again thanks so much to Pat Heath an all of the staff from the club.
We were a little concerned that the current financial climate would have an impact on the final outcome but WSF members and guests soon put that worry to bed and did it with style,I have to be honest with all of you and say that the response has again made me feel very humble,to put out a call for support from you guys for a charity event and see the kind of numbers that respond and contribute just makes me feel fortunate to have friends like that.
We are waiting for a few final monies to come in but I am able to give you a final figure, last year we raised a total of £1,907:00 and we thought that would take some beating, well I want to thank everybody because guys and girls you stood up to the line again this year, the final total for 2011 is,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

£2,134:88.

Bloody hell!! I've been stewing in guilt all day for not getting there. I feel a whole lot better seeing that sum. Well done on pulling a rabbit out of the hat. I would have thought that with many people finally feeling the impact of these hard times you would never have beaten last years amazing total. For an ugly tough guy you truly have a huge heart. Well done for your comittment, and for achieving an amzing figure for two excellent charities...... :clap3: :clap3: :clap3:

after a 5.30am phonecall from work asking were i was(i did book it off ,didn"t i ?).no sausage sandwhich, due to davesea not bringing the frying pan!.rugby tackled by curious badger to extricate raffle ticket money and finally catching a solitary whiting,it all seems worthwhile when we as responsible anglers can show our gratitude to the men and women who put their lives on the line for us.
well done to everyone who took part, especially the organisers and pete.i"m going to attend every year until he either bursts into song or is overcome with emotion and blubs like a baby !:clap3:

I am amazed at the total raised. Seeing several posts from people saying they could not make it after all, and everyone feeling the pinch more than ever I never thought you would get near to last years total. To beat it by over £200 is a real achievement.
Well done Pete and all involved, and once again George would be proud of you all:notworthy:clap3::clap2:

A huge big up to Peter the puff And all those that made it to the GT meet. Loose Goose and bi curious did their job well. Whatawhopper had me in stitches as the M/C.Celocant and deal 1919 club did us proud. All the litter pickers did a fantastic job(never seen the beach so clean). Too many to mention here But i am mentally scarred by the sight of Dangler in his normal underwear.:) Although the missus said IZZ NICE. Top day guys:thumbs::1a:
