Yes Paul but most are dxxkheads who just tell you to fxxk off!
I am lucky then as no one has ever told me to F**k off. However I can imagine some are like that.

Not sure it is more space needed, just everyone to use their own bit of space correctly. Sometimes it feels like people are sitting right on top of you but if they fish the 'ness properly there needn't be a problem. If I get blown off of the boat on Wednesday (which is looking increasingly likely) I will be on the beach if I can find a place!

there has been plenty of space, definitely not as crowded as in the past. well not yet.

Could do, but one is above that sort of behavior.
One would never intentionally add to the snags.
Because one is a mod
With wild looking hair
And one wouldn't crap in there own nest
Hi dud how's it hanging
Will call two morrow
Ones off for tiffin lols

I fished Saturday and fished half way between the lifeboat and the boats, big rain big wind but whole beach to myself until about 11.oopm then a guy dropped in 20 yards uptide using yellow breakaways. I was using 8oz fixed, the inevitable happened half a dozen times but no way was I moving my shelter it had taken me 3 goes to get it up. He was a nice guy just did not have a clue. I got my target cod at midnight and went home.....
I fish Chesil about twice a week ( I live 10 mins from Abbotsbury ) and the one thing about Chesil is its long and you can always get away from the majority and the wave action means that the less able anglers lose all their gear real quick because their gear gets buried which does not seem to happen on Dungie.
I love Dungie and have had some of the greatest nights of my life on that shingle in the 80s but its a much much harder beach to fish than Chesil once you take into account the greater number of anglers, the snags and the changing nature and shape of the beach due to the additional shingle that seems to have built up over the last few years.

And there lies the reason I won't fish at Dungy. Lucky you live down there, but for us suburbians its sooooo frustrating when people squeeze in such tight spaces and wreck your trip that you've spent a lot of money on petrol and bait and planned. And there's no point saying anything to them because they don't see any problems with it. It's these people that create the snags down there. Fished the point early in the year and some bloke set up right next to me with, wait for it, carp rods

Anyway no doubt youll be amongst them next time and look forward to the report
There's certainly nothing wrong with carp rods for a bit of sport obviously in the Wright conditions IE fishing for bass short range or for flatties etc,
Yea zippy's, conoflex, century etc are all fine for let's say banging it Wright out but for certain species at certain locations and certain conditions the fish are often under you feet.
Sadly a lot of today's beach fishing is all about prestige IE who's got the best rods and set up and half don't even know how to use em many a time could get away with using lighter rods.
All of my bass fishing over the years have involved using very light rods and yes in some cases even lighter than carp rods, it's all about understanding your quary and knowing your limitations and above all your gear and how to use it .
I fully appreciate its not everyone's cup of tea fishing light but once mastered can produce a lot of fun and to me is generally more sporting

Have you ever fished the point at Dungy? Probably the worst place to use carp rods..... Yes they have their place, I use them bass fishing the Thames. Not down Dungy
depending on conditions and weather

Apologies, yea fair point ash, agreed maybe not at the point.
I have however used them a little further along at denge marsh about 4 - 5 years ago and found they where ok for the bass fished approximately 30 - 40 yards or so ;) had some proper fun with em, the rods that I used then were 12 ft 3 lb test century blanks
