I have a suspicion that most people have not appreciated the true significance of ChrisP's catch. You see whereas all of you have caught yours FROM THE SEA, chris is refering to catching ON SHORE!

It's a well known fact that Dogfish are capable of staying alive out of water much longer thanyour average Bass/Cod/Mackeral. Eels are even more adapted!

Chris has perfected a special attractant (comes in black cans with white tops) which is very good at bringing Doggies to the surface. All he does is to 'lay a trail' out onto land, and, on a still night (when it's still night) he lays the trap. The 'light tackle' he refers to is one of those slim torches which mes-mer-ise the fish which is slurping the Guiness from the can. He carries his 'tackle' around in a 'doggie-bag'.

Waste of Guiness I think, but then all I seem to have caught this year in the Swellies are a load of drunken fish, up from Caernarfon, shouting, "Where's my beer!"

thanks rma that has made me feel so much better, i am doing some plumbing for a mate in rhosniegr one day next week so i will have a go at the rocks there in the evening, i hear it has some pollack and bass, oh and it is famous for alarmingly good looking kite-surfers but i won't have time for that :D
