We will soon be coming into the *cabin fever* period for most UK saltwater lure fishing so why not put up some pics of your latest 'investments' for us all to drool over.

It doesn't have to be an expensive item like a rod or reel etc...but just the everyday items and disposables that we all use.

It's all about the weight mate, that is the reason for the lead wire as well ;)

I use the model below that one but for some hard needles I have I want the middle hook to act as a keel.

Hey 'Bruva' that Vulture looks like it's done the business this year..nice lure...
Like the look of that chartreuse/blue dude at the back!
Be interested to read how you do with that one ..when the time comes! Cheers mate.

Edit/Postscript... just had a look at the catalogue..the chartreuse/blue is '#01 Bright Plated'..... (my curiosity is satisfied!)

Alright kerrdiff.....yeah the vulture has been my top lure this year, that one in particular has had over 50 fish so far...don't want to retire it yet but I'm busting to try the other colours...will keep you posted on catch rates with the two new ones...I recon the candy whites gonna be deadly!!! :)

Guys the reason is explained a few posts before.... It's not the strength it's the weight and the other stuff in the pic is lead wire for even more weight :)

Just bought a Van Staal vm 150, for the price I thought why not give one a try (about 130 quid) or $200 Oz, a mate bought it for his wife who never used it (didn't even put line on it). Haven't had chance to test yet but it seems to be nice and smooth and not to big, matched it with a jigging master 200g titanium. Anyone else used Van Staal reels on here?

Well my new toys arrived today .

The top one is a direct replacement for the one I lost a few weeks ago and the other 3? Well I couldn't let him travel all that way from Japan on his own could I? :D
