Well lads I had my little prank with yous but the one who really got pranked was me:schmoll: The fish have done me big time this weekend
reachon:
Had a look out with Dave (j.v) on Friday night started at the north end of Creswell beach at 8pm not a sniff so we decided to move to Lynemouth as the wind was making life hard out on the open beach. Arrived at Lynemouth beach sheltered on the south beach sea looked spot on for a fish or two, any ways fished on until 2am not a bite again so packed up and went home. I had loads of bait left and to top things off Dave gave me all his as well, I am not a one to waste bait so I knew I had to get out and get it used up so next day (Saturday) I thought River Blyth always flatties in there odd codling and the coalies have started showing in the Tyne so they must be in the Blyth as well ......WRONG spent 8 hours fishing using 2 rods, 2 hooks desperately trying to use up bait so it never got wasted. Result 1 flatty which i am not sure what it was (pic below) all the flounders, dabs and plaice I have caught have had white undersides yet this one was identical on top and bottom. I think it’s a flounder but not 100%:g:
Any way I only got through maybe half the bait...
So today I decided I would give the castle a bash (Dunstanburgh) what a lovely day but again another blank:schmoll: had a nice day today just been up there had one cracking bite but nothing came of it good job I had ratchet on as I think my Apollo would have been gone. Tried a wee bit spinning just to see if there was anything in early not a knock also tried for some wrasse had one spell for 30 secs where I had wrasse bites but nothing came of it. Caught this crab:blink: never seen out like it,
Don’t know if this means out to the lads with crab traps but she was full of eggs under her flap seems early to me.
my bait presentation getting better aswell lol
