But does jerry oiler still take a boat out from dungie what a miserable sod he was but a bloody good skipper always put you right on the button with the fish
but the boat launching was a whole other matter lol
:wheelchai god i am beginning to feel like a grandad on here

I well remember helping launch and recover the boat over those damned greasy planks back in the 60s I think there were several skippers. The name Bates seems to ring a bell. On one conger hunt my mate thought he was hooked into a record fish. After fighting it for over half an hour it turned out to be a foul-hooked tope. Happy days.

Lol, I can assure you that Dead Pan Gerry is still going strong. I did a cod feature with him at the back end of last year. A couple of my mates regularly fish with him. And you're right, he certainly puts you on the fish!

Did a cod feature with him in the Jan 2010 issue of Boat Fishing Monthly (Cod Off The Beach). We caught a shed load of fish, mostly mid doubles!
He's been doing well on the bass this year too so I hear.

I saw him afloat the other day!!
Get on the phone and get a day booked..

He even monitors this forum occasionally!!
Guess this means even though i am just getting back into shore fishing i will have to get boat gear as well
