I know its been mentioned before but i cant find it...if i wanted to try my hand at catching a ray....( i used to fish for them all the time when i lived down in cornwall late 70's) where would be the best place to go within an hour or 2 of Teesside..???

Anyone any idea..of and preferably somewhere that my car will still be in one piece when i get back to it.

Heading north and staying local Horden throws the odd one up from the bay area north of Dene Holm. Your motor should be OK if you park outside the houses before the railway bridge at the bottom of Cotsford Lane; it is a bit of a trek down to the beach but in summer you'll be travelling light anyway and the exercise is good for you:hypocrite

Further afield but still within a couple of hours the Holderness coast can throw up a few ray so I hear - maybe drop a pm to Zagman he may be able to help you out with more detailed info.
