I'm new to the area but tried Thorpeness. Fished throughout the day on lug and rag hoping to catch a sole for the first time. Plenty of bites from the first chuck but struggled to connect then finally started to hook up bass good for the future but too small to keep seven in total. Tried different rigs to keep bait on the bottom and then started catching eels, slime everywhere! Managed to catch a couple of pouting so not a bad day for my first trip to the east coast. Any advice on other venues would be welcome and will try here again but probably fish into the dark.
