gave thurstaston a try 3 hours up and 1 down on the night high tide. had fresh black lug and some frozen stickyish lug that has been kicking round the freezer for a while along with some mackeral for bait. started off on the boat slipway but tide was coming in pretty fast so got pushed back pretty quickly.
had a good rattle on the rod within about 40 mins which resulted in a small eel about 2 foot long ( didnt weigh it). after thatit was pretty quiet, had a couple of rattles that turned to nothing. at least i didnt blank though. all in it was a good night and a nice place to fish . think i will be going back there sometime.
