i don't take any notice of the moon things. just the heights and wind forecast, all you need to know.

A full Moon with good cloud cover is always a good time to fish certain tide heights at a local shore venue of mine at night as a fishy for instance.:)
 
Use the website called Easytide. It offers free 7 day tidal predictions from your own area. Good graph depicting height of tides etc also time of high and low tide.
"When the wind is from the East the fish bite least, but when the wind is from the West the fish bite best. "

Not always a good Easterly is fine by East coast Scottish shore cod anglers.:)
