The ray are about at minehead now, if hit n miss as ever, but not the best tide next Fri, with high about 9.30pm.
You really want low, so you could either do a high mark like Bossington, then head to minehead for a late (very) low water sesh.
Mind you, after being dogged to death at Bossy, you might either have chucked yourself in or gone home by then!

South... Hopes Nose, lovely spot, no idea how its fishing tho. All I've ever had there after dark is dogs, pout n tings (though maybe getting a bit late for decent tings?)
Probably pick up an eel if you targeted them...

Sorry, not being very encouraging, lol! Fishing enthusiasm gone for the weekend. Just hiked back from the mark from hell, with three dogs, two pollack, two straps and a rockling to my tally - which isn't what I wanted after spending half the night doing spiderman impressions...

Erm, suggest your best bet for a real fish and not bits n bobs of crap would be either minehead area for rays, if you can pull a really late one, or head further up channel for a thornback...
