I currently have a mariner 16 gt boat. It is 16 long to transom. I am thinking of putting a pod on the back of the boat therefore was unsure whether this is added to the boat length when sizing a new trailer eg 18ft?
Also any feedback on pro line and extreme, braked, swing arm roller trailers
Cheers,
Mike.

You are effectivally moving the heavy bit back 3 or so feet making the trailer nose light so you need a longer, braked, trailer.

you need the new trailer to fit right to the very end of the hull.

if your current trailer stops short by say 18" then you need a trailer 18" longer.

it won't hurt to have a slightly longer trailer as you can adjust to fit and then it will make it easier to launch and retrieve.

When you say end of the hull do you mean end of pod.
Thanks
