think about where the battery is going to go - can be a real pain (mine sits inside the kayak, and it's not easy to get to so will be relocating soon).

You can fix the transducer inside the hull with silicon seeler. Rough the spot up with sand paper first, take the nozzle off the seeler and make one big blob on the transducer (you get less air pockets that way). Make a temporary wooden post to press it down as hard as your can, remove after about 36 hours.
