Had the same intentions as yourself, didn't want to spend too much so I bought the Vipers and a pair of the Sonik SKS FS reels, although i haven't used them yet ( I've had them months ! ) they feel capable rods, well made for the money, have seen vids of the Vipers bringing in SmoothHounds etc, they seem to have a decent enough reputation amongst there users, well liked by all accounts, must give them an outing, maybe this weekend !!
